The battlefield is more than a place
The battlefield is more than a place. It is a ridge at sunrise, a scope full of mist, a stadium on its feet, and the quiet hour after the fighting when a soldier finally lies down. In every one of them, courage shows up as calm.
Poet in the Battlefield gathers twenty-two poems from that ground. Most are eight-line battle epics, short as a blade and just as sharp; others run longer, through a siege, a night before the charge, a night alone and a night of roaring crowds. Each one is a journey: some end in rest, some in a handshake, and a few in a second life on the screen.
Through these pages, stand with the soldier and the supporter alike. Read them at a run or at a walk, and hold your ground. Enjoy!
